The Beaus

The Beaus, the first band of Skinny Pelembe, released their first single through Circuit Records in 2009.

They received national radio airplay with features on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 and the regional BBC Introducing network. They also played prestigious Live shows throughout the UK Academy and festival scene, with rave reviews from all sides.Louche and stylish rock and roll insolence according to BBC 6 music.

Touted as the real voice of young England, their refreshing blend of cutting punk, hip hop, dub rhythms, acid wit and northern sensibilities gathered wide media acclaim.

The Beaus combined edgy northern tunes, hard-work ethic. Their outstanding graphic imagery, and talent for video production, provided the perfect foundation for Skinny Pelembe to cut his artistic teeth…
